Job listings at Playground Games’ website may point to a possible Forza Horizon sequel for the Xbox One. Spotted by VideoGamer, the listings refer to a new project that is a “visually stunning”, “genre-leading” racer. The studio was behind last years Forza Horizon, a well-recieved, open-world racer on Xbox 360.
Several job openings reference the unnamed project, asking for candidates who are “fanatical about cars and car culture, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the auto industry… [and] a strong working knowledge of vehicle mechanics and car setup”, and with an “excellent working knowledge of, and a real passion for, the racing genre”.
Sequel or not, an opening for a Vehicle QA Technician beginning in Q3 2013 suggests that the mystery project won’t be ready for a long time. Furthermore, there is no information alluding to which console generation it will appear on.
