Ouya has a bunch of stuff going for it, it’s open platform, its ease of use, heck, we happen to think it’s a pretty interesting little device. What the Android console is lacking however is this: The system seller – exclusive games. Another problem? One of its best exclusive games is headed to PC. Ouch.
Much talked about multiplayer brawler Towerfall, from developer Mat Thorson, caused quite a stir as one of the most talked about, and highly praised Ouya exclusives, he took to twitter today stating that:
“I am working on TowerFall for PC. But it’s going to take a couple months. There’s going to be a ton of new content!”
When a follower of his asked about the price, he said: “Probably $15. Maybe $20 if the new content justifies it.”
Not heard of TowerFall before today? Check out the trailer below, you will probably find yourself wanting it by the end. While the addition of a PC version is good for consumers (since most people have a PC capable of running TowerFall), it can only be seen as bad news for the Ouya platform, which will be desperately seeking out new exclusives in the coming months, something that will be difficult to do if developers see their counterparts jumping ship so soon after launch.
