LoveFilm Confirm Games Rental Will No Longer be Available for New Customers
LoveFilm confirmed today that they will no longer be providing their game rental service for new customers. The UK based, video rental & VOD service issued this short statement:
LOVEFiLM can confirm games rental will no longer be available to new customers signing up to its service in the UK, with effect w/c 24th June.
Existing customers of the Amazon subsidiary can still rent games from the service, provided they were subscribed to the game package prior to the announcement.
It is unclear at this time whether this practice will phased out entirely.
