Epic Games planned spin-off, Infinity Blade Dungeons has officially been cancelled. According to a recent Epic Games podcast with Donald Mustard, the game was placed on indefinite hold until he confirmed that it had been altogether cancelled. The co-founder and creative director of Infinity Blades studio, Chair Entertainment, cited the closure of the studio in charge of the spin-off project as the reason for the cancellation.
The studio in question was Impossible Games which Epic Games closed in February, less than 12 months after opening it’s doors. Originally slated for a 2013 release, the cancellation of Infinity Blade Dungeons does not mark the end of the series, according to Mustard.
