id Software’s John Carmack Will Deliver QuakeCon Keynote

We have found out today that John Carmack, co-founder of id software, is going to be delivering a keynote speech at QuakeCon 2013, which is due to begin on August 1.

Fans attending this mega games-fest will also be able to see presentations of hotly anticipated titles such as The Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within.

There will be a panel discussion with some of the folks behind Dishonored – Raphael Colantonio, Ricardo Bare and Seth Shain, on the Ventrilo Main Stage, who will be talking about Dishonoured: Brigmore Witches – the upcoming DLC which along with all of the above named titles will be playable at the show.

The event will take place between August 1-4 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. With entry free thanks to the generous folk from iD Software and Bethseda, not to mention the many sponsors, attendees can also expect representation from the following:
