Just Blaze Goes in Hard On Hip Hop TMNT Trailers

by on July 31, 2013

He may have fallen off slightly since his early Noughties heyday – where he was responsible for producing some of the highlights of Jay Z’s career apex The Blueprint – but Jersey producer Just Blaze still knows his way around a hip hop banger.

“Compton” was a highlight of Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city album, and nobody can deny that Jay Electronica’s “Exhibit C” is one of the best tracks of the last decade. Red Fly Studio are clearly fans of his work, so have roped him in to provide some gritty urban oomph for their forthcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows beat ’em up.

Blaze has soundtracked the game’s character series trailers, and has given an exclusive interview in which he discusses how he has attempted to put a new spin on a classic franchise, one which he has been a fan of since he was a nipper.

The game hits Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Steam later this summer.
