Following on from the new footage for NBA Live that EA Sports have been exhibiting at E3, 2K Sports have hit back – showing that their latest basketball title, NBA 2K14, will also be coming to next-gen consoles. Their cover star was only announced last week, with a new trailer, but 2K weren’t going to sit on their laurels.
In the new video that 2K Games have released, we once again see cover star LeBron James, as he speaks with a fully-animated, realistic, computer-generated version of himself. This is followed by a high-energy montage showing the game in action.
The title is certainly shaping up to look very impressive – making full use of the graphical capabilities of the new generation of consoles – but the proof will be in the playing. After EA Sports have taken the last few years off from NBA Live in order to re-vamp the game, 2K have gained quite a lead – but it will be interesting to see how things go with both developers putting out a new game once again.
