At an E3 2013 interview with members of the media, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima revealed that he’s keen to get a development team to remake the 1998 PSOne title Metal Gear Solid, using the Fox engine.
As reported by Gamereactor, a Turkish fan had somehow made his way into the controlled environment and told Kojima of how he’d like to see the first two Metal Gear Solid games remade using Kojima Productions’ new engine.
Kojima said that he’s currently in the process of looking for a developer to adapt the original -Solid game for the Fox engine, but didn’t specify any particular studios.
The only remake that the original title has seen was in the form of Silicon Knights’ Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes which was released on GameCube back in ’04. Trying to take games from the fifth console generation and up-res them to HD is something that very few developers touch, which is why the game was a notable omission from the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. A return to Shadow Moses with the Fox engine would definitely interest the hardcore MGS fans

How's things? I'm the video guy and would love if you'd watch the things I do like Debatable and For Your Amusement. I spend the majority of my days explaining why The Wire is the greatest TV show ever and clamouring for a Pop-Punk revival(c. 1994) whilst singing in my best Axl Rose-esque voice. Do not say professional wrestling is “fake” around me or, he’ll bore you with, what I like to call, “the risks they take”. Henrik Larsson is my hero.
