Halo is synonymous with the Xbox brand, but the next game in the series isn’t coming to Xbox One. No, this time it’s all about touch.
Halo: Spartan Assault has just been announced by Microsoft and will be available this July on Windows 8 smartphones and tablets. 343 Industries and Vanguard Games have been looking after development of this top down shooter which will bring some clarity to the events after Halo 3 and before Halo 4. Commander Sarah Palmer and Spartan Davis are the two playable characters in the game which delves into the history of the Human-Covenant wars.
Dark Horse Comics have also been assigned the task of creating Halo: Initiation – a three part series that will set the seeds for Halo: Spartan Assault.
You may be clamouring for Halo 5, but be patient. E3 is next week and chances are that there will be a trailer of some sort at the event.
