Atlus Picks Up Zombie’s Daylight for PS4 and PC

by on June 8, 2013

Zombie Studio’s Daylight has found a publisher and is officially set to release on PlayStation 4 and PC in Q1 2014. Atlus has announced they obtained the publishing rights to the game. Utilizing Unreal Engine 4 and a first-person perspective, it promises a haunting atmospehere and procedural generated environments. Players will start the game in an abandoned hospital with only a cell phone for light. Daylight will also be compatible with the PlayStation Eye and the share feature. After the traditional survival horror franchises have added more action, game like Daylight, Amnesia, and The Evil Within are attempting a renaissance for more pure survival horror experiences.

“Since showing off a pre-alpha build of Daylight at PAX East the attention on the project has grown tremendously! With the gained attention, we were approached with the opportunity to partner with ATLUS to help release Daylight worldwide on Steam and exclusively to the PlayStation 4 system,” said Jared Gerritzen, studio director, Zombie Studios. “ATLUS has a long history of great games and is an accomplished publisher with worldwide reach. Working with them will allow us to reach a global audience, so we’ll be able to scare even more people.”

Daylight will be released for PlayStation 4 and PC in Q1 2014.
