Get a Taste of Resident Evil: Revelations in New Launch Trailer

by on May 21, 2013

As you may well have seen in our review of the Resident Evil: Revelations (and if you haven’t – go check it out!), the new High Definition version of the 3DS game is somewhat of a revelation in terms of the series – with somewhat of a return to the old-school style and atmosphere from the first few games.

The game is out at the end of this week across multiple platforms, and will also see an Xbox Games on Demand version on Xbox LIVE very shortly. Not only that, but Capcom have also announced the first few pieces of DLC that will soon be available for the game.

Firstly, there will be the Resistance Set and the Enhancement Set – which are both weapons upgrade packs, containing six upgrades and costing 160 Microsoft Points or $1.99 / €1.99. That will be made available from June 4th. Then, a week later on June 11th, there will be two extra characters released for the co-operative Raid mode – Rachael Ooze – the infected mutation of the mysterious blonde and also a new female version of series favourite Hunk, known as Lady Hunk. Each character will cost 240 Microsoft Points or $2.99 / €2.99. Lastly, there will be  and will compliment a full roster of existing Raid Mode characters. Finally, weapon upgrades for Jill Valentine, Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat are going to be released on June 18th, for 80 Microsoft Points or $0.99/€0.99.

Here is a brief synopsis of Revelations:

The critically acclaimed survival horror title takes players back to events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, revealing the truth about the T-Abyss virus.  Featuring series favourites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, the action begins on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the ‘Queen Zenobia,’ then moves to the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available, the race is on to survive the terrors that unfold.

Resident Evil: Revelations will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC on May 24 in the Europe and May 21 in North America.
