In a recent PlayStation Blog Recap post, it was confirmed that PS Vita owners will be able to view Sony’s E3 press conference on their handheld systems.
A fan asked SCEE blog manager Fred Dutton whether this would be a possibility, in the comments section of the post. Dutton then proceeded to make Dr-abdulelah a very happy Vita owner:
“We’re finalising plans now, but yes, you will be able to watch the show somewhere, somehow on your Vita.”
There has been no other word from SCE on this – whether there will be a dedicated app, or whatnot. However, with June 10 (the date of PlayStation’s media briefing) right around the corner, I’m sure something more substantial will be announced, shortly.
I’m sure the focus won’t be solely on PS4, either. Microsoft recently said that they plan to support Xbox 360 for a while longer and it’s likely that Sony will say something similar with regard PlayStation 3.
Vita owners are clamouring for a reason to turn it on, so hopefully we see some major support for the little handheld that could.
