Persona 4 Arena may be a beat-em-up – which is quite a departure from the RPG roots of the Persona series – but that doesn’t mean that story won’t still be important in the new game.
In fact, Persona 4 Arena directly continues the story from PlayStation 2 title Persona 4, and the recent PS Vita release Persona 4: The Golden – and even features characters taken from the previous game in the series, Persona 3. The title is somewhat of a revelation in terms of fighting games, with a massive, in-depth story mode, on top of all of the regular modes that gamers have come to expect from a good beat-em-up.
In Persona 4 Arena, fans can expect:
- Brand new story arc which picks up 2 months after the events of Persona 4.
- Over 30 hours of Story Mode gameplay.
- 12 individual story paths, as players experience a new chapter from multiple perspectives.
- The introduction of brand new character, Labrys.
- The coming together of both Persona 3 and Persona 4 characters in the same story for the first time.
- Akihiko, Mitsuru, Aigis and Elizabeth return, two years after the events of Persona 3.
- The Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 voice cast reprise their roles for Persona 4 Arena.
- Beautiful anime cut-scenes from renowned Japanese studio, Madhouse.
- The beginning of a new chapter in the Persona 4 story – that both Persona fans and newcomers to the series can enjoy.
The GodisaGeek.com review of the game will be going live soon.
