Pac-Man is getting an action adventure game this time later this year on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. This marks on of the few times Namco Bandai has broken out from his arcade origins. The game focuses on Pac-Man and his 2 “BFF” teenage friends and will tie-in with the animated series debuting this summer on Disney XD. The Ghostly Adventures will feature will see the trio battle Betrayus and his cast of creatures including the traditional Pac-Man ghosts.
It may look like Pac-Man has been getting cool and attitude lessons from old gaming pal Sonic, but this looks similar to Pac-Man World titles from last gen. A Nintendo 3DS version will focus on more pure side-scrolling rather than the open action-adventure appearing on consoles.
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS in 2013.
