The daddy of Japanese stealth games has taken to Twitter to discuss the next Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer.
Thanks to Gamespot, we’ve seen that Kojima has been telling Twitter followers of how the editing process takes some time, whilst also admitting that the next showcase of MGS 5 will feature a lot of gameplay:
“Its time consuming since there’s lots of game play scenes in the next trailer as it involves too much work besides editing but recording+.”
Prior to that admission, he got on the David Cage bus and told fans not to expect much bombast in said trailer:
“Trailers these days has lots of explosion, crash, destruction, and fall. I intentionally avoid those elements in my next trailer.”
Kojima also promised that there will be a few secrets in the video – nothing new, there. It’s expected that we’ll see the fruits of Kojima’s work at Konami’s pre E3 show on June 6, which may be where we find out the Western voice actor of Solid Snake/Big Boss.
A NeoGAF user spotted an image from Gamespot (who will be live streaming the event) that implies we will find out about David Hayter’s replacement. After it was revealed that Hayter would not be reprising his role, MGS fans were irate due to his iconic performances in the role. Although, knowing Hideo Kojima, Hayter could step on stage at E3 and shock us all.
How's things? I'm the video guy and would love if you'd watch the things I do like Debatable and For Your Amusement. I spend the majority of my days explaining why The Wire is the greatest TV show ever and clamouring for a Pop-Punk revival(c. 1994) whilst singing in my best Axl Rose-esque voice. Do not say professional wrestling is “fake” around me or, he’ll bore you with, what I like to call, “the risks they take”. Henrik Larsson is my hero.
