The man who created Earthworm Jim is back. Doug TenNapel has been out of the development scene since about 1999, but has recently launched a Kickstarter project with Pencil Test Studios to raise funds for Armikrog.
Similar to his adventure game The Neverhood, Armikrog’s aesthetic is attention grabbing. Using claymation, Pencil Test Studios are working on this new point-and-click adventure that needs $900,000 of your hard earned cash, to successfully fund it. A portion of the game has already been created and you can see what it looks like, below.
Some voice actors are attached to Armikrog – including Rob Paulsen who played Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yakko Warner in Animaniacs, Pinky from Pinky and the Brain, among other roles that will leave you with a warm, nostalgic feeling.
Destined for PC, Mac and Linux if funded, you can check out reward tiers and the like over on the game’s Kickstarter page.
