Deep Silver and Southend Interactive have finally revealed the fourth playable character that will join the line-up of grizzled adventurers in their upcoming action fantasy, Sacred Citadel.
We knew no Sacred title would be complete without a Seraphim in the mix somewhere, and character number four is a Seraphim Mage, a beautiful yet deadly Angelic being able to use holy magic to annihilate her enemies. She joins the Ancarian Ranger, the Khukri Shaman and Safiri Warrior to bring steely justice to the evil plaguing Ancaria.
A 2D, side-scrolling spin-off with RPG elements mixed in, Sacred Citadel has more than a hint of arcade classic Golden Ax about it, but the modern twist is that each character’s abilities and playstyle will compliment the others during play. Check out the trailer below for a closer look at the fourth class.
Sacred Citadel will be available to download on Xbox 360 (via Xbox LIVE), PlayStation 3 (via PSN) and PC (via Steam and other digital distribution services) on April 17. Sacred 3, a full sequel to the main franchise, is also currently in development.
