Sniper Elite 3 Announced, Coming to Current-gen and Next-gen Systems
In news that may surprise some, 505 Games appears to have announced that another Sniper Elite is on the way. Sniper Elite 3 is aiming for a 2014 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and next generation consoles.
IGN picked this up and 505 has said that;
“following the worldwide success of Sniper Elite and Sniper Elite V2 released on PC, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3, 505 Games believe in the extremely high potential of this brand.”
For those that may be surprised by this news, note that Sniper Elite V2 has sold 1.1 million copies since it released about a year ago. The multi-platform title was a game that our own Adam Cook loved, calling it an “exhilarating experience”. At this time, we don’t know anything more on the third Sniper Elite, but details will surely follow in the near future.
