Way back in May of 2012, Bethesda announced what seemed like an obvious fit – The Elder Scrolls Online.
An MMO where players can ramble across the entire continent of Tamriel. News on the game has been delivered in scarce updates ever since its announcement, but it appeared that ZeniMax Online Studios’ effort was gearing up for a 2013 release as the first lot of beta keys are going out at the end of this month.
However, an unnamed source of ours has told us that the game has been pushed back until March of next year. Obviously, Bethesda are yet to confirm any such thing, but it seems weird that the beta would begin rolling out in a few weeks, when the game won’t be out until next year. The game has been in development since 2007 and I think we all know that a game that is knocking about for that long is never a good thing.
The official response from Bethesda at the moment is “Bethesda does not comment on speculation or rumour”.
