Nintendo’s Miiverse Community Coming to Smartphones and PC Soon, 3DS Version to Follow
Nintendo have been spilling the beans on how you’ll be checking in on Miiverse on the go at the Game Development Conference today.
The service, which made its debut along with the launch of the Wii U at the tail end of 2012, is Nintendo’s first real stab at a proper online community, and has gone down relatively well with the modest amount of Wii U users thus far.
Miiverse producer Kiyoshi Mizuki said during his talk at GDC today that the Miiverse mobile and web browser app should available by May, and will provide users with the ability to post comments, draw doodles and engage with communities on the move.
A 3DS version is on the way, too, but Mr Mizuki wasn’t ready to tell us when that might be. He did, however, state that not all 3DS software will support Miiverse.
Mizuki also said that Nintendo is currently taking requests from game developers for what they would like to see in the update Miiverse program on Wii U.
