Injustice: Gods Among Us will hold eight UK heats at GAME stores nationwide in the search the nation’s best player.
Competitors stand the chance of winning goodies based on the NetherRealm developed DC fighter, such as FightSticks, headsets and copies of the game.
The winners from each heat will tussle at a grand final in London, with the winner of that travelling to Paris for the international final where the winner will receive an Injustice: Gods Among Us Arcade Cabinet.
Oh and a belt. There’s a belt for the UK winner, and another belt for the Interneational winner. I bet Colm would play for a belt…
The prizes justify the effort, certainly, but where can you play? Why here, have the location and date of the GAME after-hours lock-ins. Just remember Kombat players, Injustice is a ‘back-to-block’ fighter, it doesn’t have a block button. Got that? Good. Here are the dates.
- Hull Superstore – Monday 1st April 17.00
- Liverpool Lord Street – Tuesday 2nd April 19.30
- Nottingham Victoria – Wednesday 3rd April 19.00
- Norwich – Thursday 4th April 19.30
- Morfa Swansea  – Friday 5th April 20.30
- Birmingham Bullring – Sunday 7th April 17.30
- Peterborough Serpentine – Monday 8th April 20.30
- Lewisham – Tuesday 9th April 21.30
Each heat will be graced and commentated by pro-gamer hosts  “Ketchup and Mustard”. Me neither.
Interestingly the UK champion will win, alongside a TV and the game, a ‘handheld console’. Could Injustice be Vita bound? Mortal Kombat made the jump so it’s not as if I’m asking for the return of Nirvana here.
Spots are limited so if you are interested, get to one of those GAME stores of email injustice@multiplay.co.uk expressing your interest.
Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released on April 19 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.
