Naruto games, and indeed the Manga that it is based on, have never taken themselves entirely seriously. They have always contained a large helping of humour, but this latest new game in the series takes that one step further.
With Naruto Powerful Shippuden – with Rock Lee & his Ninja Pals – we see the well-loved Naruto characters get the mini treatment, as they are shrunk down and made cuter. Based on the art style of the Rock Lee & his Ninja Pals cartoon, which is a spin-off of the main Manga, the game sees the traditionally more serious Shippuden Naruto storyline given the Chibi-treatment.
That is not to say that the game will be all hugs and kisses, these mini-ninjas will still be kicking some serious butt in this side=scrolling beat-em-up, and players will be able to take control of either Naruto or Rock Lee – each of which has their own storyline to play through, or you can enter the Endless Battle mode, which speaks for itself.
