Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Due in March, Demo Coming in February! Check Out the Brand New CG Trailer!
Capcom have confirmed that monster-slaying masterpiece Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will come to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on March 22, available as both digital downloads through the eShop and off-the-shelf boxed copies. If you happen to buy both versions, you’ll be able to transfer your Wii U save data and continue your game on the move with the 3DS, though obviously you’ll be trading HD for 3D if you do so. It’s also a pricey option – Nintendo don’t have the same approach to cross-buy as Sony, it seems.
Still, the ability to chat online to your monster-hunting teammates via the Wii U GamePad’s microphone and play online with others on both the Wii U and the 3Ds are major selling points for this instalment, and are likely to ensure a brilliant social aspect to the game.
What’s more, Nintendo will be making a demo available to download on both platforms on February 22, giving players the chance to tackle one Beginner and one Advanced single-player quest. You’ll be able to choose from 12 weapons and take down the Lagombi and Plesioth beasts, giving you a great opportunity to experience the game early or, if you’ve never tried a Monster Hunter title before, a chance to see what all the fuss is about.
Check out the new CG trailer below, and start wishing it was March 22.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be available in Europe on March 22 on Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U.
