ORIGINAL:Â Those of you eagerly awaiting the release of the hack and slash Metal Gear Solid spin-off, starring everyone’s favourite Cyborg Ninja Raiden, will soon get the chance to try out the game for yourselves as a demo for the title is coming your way next week.
Gamespot have reported that Konami will be unleashing a playable demo on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network on January 22, and this demo will allow players to experience part of the first chapter of the title, where gamers are re-introduced to the oft-maligned protagonist, Raiden. It is as-yet-unknown whether or not this demo will be the very same one that was bundled in with the release of the Zone of Enders HD collection, or if this will be an entirely new demo for fans to get their hands on.
The long-awaited co-production between Platinum Games and Kojima Productions has been heavily delayed, but is now finally nearing its release. Check out more information on the game, including the latest trailer and a playthrough video of the Zone of Enders demo right here.
UPDATE:Â Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners in Europe will be able to download the demo from January 23. If that isn’t enough to whet your Metal Gear appetite, have a look at the brand new trailer.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released on February 19 in North America, February 22 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
If I'm not playing on a good Adventure Game - still longing for the long-past Golden Age of the genre, when Lucasarts and Sierra ruled supreme - you might find me searching for a local arcade, in the hopes that it still houses titles such as Sunset Riders or WindJammers.
