Last February’s Asura’s Wrath is a very angry game about a very angry god, and thanks to its unique art style, bonkers story and compelling mix of action gaming and quick-time uber-violence, was one of the best things released in the early part of last year.
According to sgcafe.com, Japanese developers CyberConnect2 have revealed that in addition to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and PS3-exclusive JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle, they will be unveiling 3 “original new works” in 2013. It’s not necessarily the news that fans of Asura’s Wrath or .hack (the company’s first and more famous IP) will want to hear, but sequels shouldn’t be ruled out entirely.
The reveal comes on video form as part of a Happy New Year message from CyberConnect2’s CEO, Hiroshi Matsuyama. We can expect more details about the three titles as the year progresses. Check out the video below if you like – but be warned, you’ll need to speak Japanese to understand any of it.
