Tomb Raider Survival Guide Episode 1: Smart, Resourceful LaraSquare-Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released episode one of a new documentary series that goes behind the scenes of next year’s eagerly-awaited Tomb Raider reboot.

The video, entitled “Smart, Resourceful Lara”, shows some of the ways the tough-as-nails Miss Croft can adapt her gear and abilities to survive the harsh environments of the Dragon’s Triangle. From upgrading her hunting bow and climbing axe to learning new skills, this new origin story will allow you to shape Lara Croft during the first steps in her journey from adventurous teen to globe-trotting treasure-hunter.

We’re also shown how different elements such as wind, rain and fire can come into play to help solve puzzles and overcome obstacles as Lara struggles to stay alive, living on nothing but scattered salvage and her own determination. Tomb Raider will be released worldwide on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on March 5 2013.
