At Friday’s VGAs, the world audibly gasped as a sequel to the unforgiving Dark Souls was announced, via a trailer. However, it was announced as a PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title. No Nintendo love.
Many have been hopeful that third party support would ramp up for the Wii’s successor, but with big games like this not coming to the system, it doesn’t bode well for fans that forked out cash for Nintendo’s latest hardware.
Today, NintendoLife has reported on a petition that is clamouring for signatures, for a Dark Souls II Wii U release. The petition currently has just over 3,000 signatures and if you want to plead with Namco Bandai and From Software, you can do so by clicking on the the link, above.
To exorcise its demons, Nintendo needs third party support. One of the main reasons the core audience were blasé about the Wii, was the lack of third party games, so hopefully that can be rectified over time.
Dark Souls II will be released at a later date for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
