Stan Lee Calls Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth “Sensational” at NYCC 2012
Comic book uber-maestro Stan Lee plays Marvel Avengers at New York Comic Con and goes bananas.
Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is the game Ubisoft stepped in to develop when THQ’s planned movie tie-in fell through. A Kinect brawler also due for release on Nintendo’s Wii U in December, the game features the Avengers battling an evil race known as the Skrulls alongside other Marvel heroes like Spider-Man. Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth follows the Secret Invasion storyline of the comic books and is comprised of action heavy stages where you’ll use Kinect to sling Thor, Hulk and Iron Man, among others, around the screen in gleeful, colourful abandon.
Marvel legend Stan Lee stopped by the Ubisoft stall at the New York Comic Con to have a quick blast himself, and the 89 year old called the game “sensational”. He’s hardly going to say it’s bad, of course, but as you can see in the video, he’s clearly loving every minute – and frankly, I hope I’m still able to stand up, let alone play Kinect, when I’m 89. Though by then we’ll all be flying in cars and living on the moon.

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is set to release on November 9 on Xbox 360, and on December 4 on Nintendo Wii U.
