The genuinely scary Lone Survivor is coming to PlayStation 3 and Vita, as confirmed by game creator Jasper Byrne on the Superflat Games Blog, which was picked up by Destructoid. Curve Studios, the dev behind Stealth Bastard, Explodemon! and Fluidity, will be looking after the port.
Currently available on Steam, the game will more than likely see a release on PlayStation Network. If you’re unfamiliar with Lone Survivor, it has the feel and atmosphere of a Silent Hill of old, where the lead character wakes up in a post apocalyptic world.
In an age where survival horror seems a thing of the past for many people, the scares are really out there in the indie market. Just like Slender, Lone Survivor’s look isn’t cutting edge, but the tension within is something that a lot of AAA titles find hard to achieve.
Lone Survivor is available now for Windows PC (via Steam). The game is set to release for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita with a date TBA
