Warner Bros. Announce Release Date for LEGO Lord of the Rings, Humour Trailer too

Warner-Bros.-Announce-Release-Date-for-LEGO-Lord-of-the-Rings In a world that – at times – can be full of cynicism, it’s refreshing to have the LEGO games around as a palete cleanser.

Sure, Traveller’s Tales released a lot of the LEGO games, but they do seem to get better and better time around. A personal favourite is the LEGO Harry Potter games, but the recent Batman: DC Super Heroes was also rather splendid. And hell, with the announcement of Star Wars Episode VII, maybe we’ll even get another LEGO Star Wars game at some point!

But this article isn’t about those games, and you’re probably wondering when I’m going to tell you the release date for LEGO Lord of the Rings. Well, wait no longer, because coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC, Nintendo Wii, DS, 3DS and PlayStation Vita, the game will be released on Friday, November 23.

The game is based on the trilogy, incidentally, so there’s scope for a Hobbit-based follow up, at some point. Oh and I’d like to also insert a pun about “LEGOlas” being “made up” about this news, is that okay? Oh well, if you want genuine comedy, WB have also released a “humour” trailer, which you can see below.
