New Spy Hunter Trailer Looks at the Legacy of the Franchise
First released almost 30 years ago, Spy Hunter was a hugely popular ‘car-combat’ title with an emphasis on speed and reflexes. A fast-paced, top-down chase game with a Space Invaders bent, you were required to obliterate your enemies while dodging a barrage of gunfire, missiles and bombs.
Revived for the current generation by TT Fusion and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertaiment, Spy Hunter is on its way to the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS this month. In this new trailer, entitled The Legacy, we’re given an insight into the indelible impression that Spy Hunter has left on some of its fans, including Spy Hunter World Record Holder Paul Dean, producer Paul Johnson and, for some unknown reason, a handful of Hip-Hop artists such as Twista.
Still, if you’re a gamer of a certain age, there’s a chance that this trailer will hold a nostalgic charm and fill you with joy. Or unbridled rage when you remember how hard most of it was. Either way, enjoy!
Spy Hunter is being developed by TT Fusion and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It will launch on the PlayStation Vita on October 12th and on the Nintendo 3Ds on November 9th.
