Guardians of Middle-earth Battle Profiles: Nori & Wulfrun
Guardians of Middle-earth is a strange one to quantify. Although it features all the characters from Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy as well as several from upcoming epic The Hobbit (the first part of which, An Unexpected Journey, will hit cinemas on December 14th), it isn’t really a Rings game at all.
It’s actually a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that will see 20 iconic characters including Aragorn, Legolas, Gollum and Gandalf going toe-to-toe with swords, spells and special moves.
The latest Battle Profiles trailer shows playable characters Nori and Wulfrun. The former is a member of The Company of Dwarves, the 13 Dwarfish warriors who accompany Bilbo on his journey, while sorcerer Wulfrun is the main antagonist in last year’s Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
As you can see from the trailer below, both look pretty tasty in a scrap, something we’ll test properly by smacking them repeatedly in their heads with axes when the game launches early next year.
