Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty DLC Coming Next Week!
Tuesday 16th October was the intended date for the release of the Borderlands 2 Mechromancer DLC – which surprised everyone when it became suddenly available for download on the 9th. And now Gearbox Software are spoiling us again by announcing that there is downloadable content inbound for the 16th, only it’s brand new and fresh as a desert daisy.
Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty focuses on the titular Scarlett, flame-haired, one-eyed and with even more prosthetics per square-inch than Sir Hammerlock. There’s a new settlement in the form of the pirate town of Oasis in the middle of a vast desert.
New enemies include massive sand worms and pirate-themed bandits, while a nifty little hovercraft will help you navigate the treacherous dunes in search of treasure (we assume) and a new form of collectible called ‘seraph crystal’ – though what they’re for remains to be seen. Regardless of such little details, we can all concur that more Borderlands 2 is great news.
Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty will be available to download on October 16th, and is priced at £9.99 on PS3 and PC or 800 MS Points on Xbox 360. Owners of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass (£29.99 or 2400 MS Points) will be able to download it for free.
