Call of Juarez Heads Back to the Wild West in GunslingerUbisoft are taking us back to the Wild West with Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, a bounty hunting FPS that will see you hunt down infamous outlaws across the arid plains of 19th Century America. Thankfully, it would appear that developers Techland are taking the smart road and distancing Gunslinger from the abysmal waste of potential that was Call of Juarez: The Cartel.

Details on this new downloadable shooter are thin on the ground and the trailer is live action, so no shots of gameplay or characters, but it’s unlikely that either Reverend Ray or his brother Thomas will feature given that the storyline seems to involve a new protagonist collecting bounties on various no-good varmints.

We’ll bring you more info as it becomes available, but in the meantime have a goosey at the announcement trailer.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger will be released early in 2013.
