Football Manager 2013 Has Improved 3D Match Engine, As Seen In This Here VidWith another year, comes another Football Manager game from Sports Interactive Games. This year, there are a few obligatory changes that centre around the match engine.

In the video below, you can see director Miles Jacobson explaining a few of the new features in Football Manager 2013. He says that numerous changes have been made to the 3D match engine, “many of which are the culmination of two years hard work”. He outlines a new physics engine that sees the ball moving more realistically on different surfaces, and graphical improvements with player body scaling and better head tracking.

A lot of the match engine AI has been re-written to give the player a more realistic feel for the beautiful game and some new camera options are also detailed.

This is the first video in a planned series that will show off some of Football Manager 2013’s improvements on previous iterations. The game is set to release on PC & Mac some time before Christmas.
