God of War and inFamous Full Collections Coming to PlayStation 3 This August

The HD Collection has become some what of a staple in the past year or two. We’re becoming used to seeing our favourite games from yesteryear revamped for this generation. However, how about full collections? Today, Sony announced that God of War and inFamous will be getting this treatment.

Coming on 28th August, they will retail at $30 in the States. No word on whether Europe will also be getting these collections just yet. Sony have also outlined what you’ll receive in your discs of joy when it comes to inFamous and God of War.

• God of War II
• God of War III
• God of War: Origins Collection (which includes God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta)
• Exclusive Bonus Content
• Voucher For 1 Trial Month of PlayStation Plus
• Remastered for HD, DUALSHOCK Control, Full PlayStation Network Trophy Support and 3D (3D supported only in God of War III and God of War: Origins Collection)

inFAMOUS Collection

• inFAMOUS
• inFAMOUS 2
• inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood
• Extra missions
• Additional character costumes, power ups and weapon styles

Now those are collections. Some people get peeved with regard certain omissions from collections, see Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill for example. But as these games were all featured on either the PS2 or PS3, we get them in one nice, fleshed out package.

The Ratchet & Clank Collection is already available here in Europe and we loved it! Some of these games will also be available on PSN after the retail releases.
