F1 2012’s Champions Mode Revealed
One of the new modes for F1 2012, Champions Mode, has been revealed this morning by developer Codemasters.
Featuring a whole host of racing scenarios, Champions Mode pits the player against the 6 Formula One World Champions who are still competing in today’s championship. Starting with a challenge against 2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen, you then compete against 2009 champion Jenson Button, 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton, 2010 and 2011 champion Sebastian Vettel , two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher in a series of increasingly taxing scenarios.
To give you an idea of one, Codemasters has revealed the details of Kimi Räikkönen’s challenge. The challenge sees the player join a race as Kimi’s teammate at Spa Francorchamps. The player has just pitted and is on new tyres while the rest of the pack is on worn rubber with three laps to go until the end of the race. In order to complete the scenario the player has to race through the pack and overtake Kimi before the end of the race.
If you’re interested in the challenges, then the short teaser trailer below may whet your appetite until the game is released in September for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
