Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut Out Now on Android Devices
Fans of Adventure Games who own Android devices have had a long wait, but launching today is the classic game from Revolution Software – Broken Sword: Shadow of The Templars – The Director’s Cut. It is now available around the world for purchase via the Google Play Market for Android phones and tablets.
The title is an absolute point & click classic – and featured prominantly in the GodisaGeek.com Top 10 Adventure Games list. The touchscreen Director’s Cut of the game has been a huge success – selling 5 million copies in 2011 alone. This new Android version has upped the graphical resolution even higher, and will look better than ever.
Charles Cecil, managing director of Revolution Software says: “We are proud that Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut is the first mainstream, high production value adventure game to be available on the Google Play store… We’ve been overwhelmed by fans asking – or just demanding – that we bring the game to Android, but didn’t just want to create a straight port. With the additional material we’ve been able to include, we hope that it’ll prove popular to newcomers to the series, as well as offering a significantly enhanced reminiscence to those that played the original.“
“The enthusiasm with which our fans have received our games is humbling. Our success in self publishing has allowed Revolution, for the first time in our 20 year history, to self-fund and so create games that we know our fans want to play. We will shortly be announcing details of an original adventure game that has been in development for six months.”
This is a title that transfers spectacularly well onto touchscreen phones and tabletsd, and should be in the collection of every gamer with an Android device. And we at GodisaGeek.com can’t wait for that news on a new, original Adventure Game from the Revolution team too!
