Warner Bros. Interactive Announce INJUSTICE: GODS Among Us
Ahead of a proper unveiling at E3 next week, Warner Bros. have today teased a new super hero game based in the DC Universe titled INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us.
Slated for a 2013 release on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, INJUSTICE is being developed by Mortal Kombat creators NetherRealm Studios. Injustice: Gods Among Us is set to be a fighting game featuring DC Comics icons such as Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many more besides.
“With Injustice: Gods Among Us, we are creating an all-new franchise with incredible battles set in the DC Comics Universe,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “NetherRealm Studios is the extremely talented team behind the latest Mortal Kombat hit and it is developing a game unlike any other in the fighting genre.”
NetherRealm Studios last release was the critically acclaimed Mortal Kombat reboot released in 2011, which featured a better than expected story mode for the first time. Can we expect the same in this next title? Ed Boon, the beat em’ up development veteran behind Mortal Kombat, had this to say;
“We can’t wait to reveal Injustice: Gods Among Us because it will give our fans and gamers an epic experience as they battle like gods as their favourite DC Comics villains and heroes. Our team is excited to make a fighting game that is filled with fast-paced action, incredible story-telling and iconic DC Comics characters.”
We can expect to learn a lot more about INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us at the E3 expo next week, which of course GodisaGeek will be in attendance for.
