Just when you thought Brussels had sealed the deal and confirmed that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PS Vita would arrive over here at the same time as the Americans, Konami go and change the date.
The game was originally touted to have a worldwide release on the 12th June, but today the publisher has announced that the game will come to our shores on the 29th June. If you’re not in the know, the game will feature Kojima’s wonderful transfarring system which allows you to transfer saves between the PS3 version and the PS Vita version. Yes, it could have easily been called transferring.
The game won’t be a direct port of the PS3/360 version either. Firstly, Peacewalker isn’t included, which is a pity. Secondly, it will incorporate the Vita’s touch capability. Gamers will be able to zoom in on cut scenes with a pinch, peek around corners, interrogate enemies, cycle through weapons/items, and perform quick attacks with their knife. We’ll see how much of a difference there is on the 29th June.
How's things? I'm the video guy and would love if you'd watch the things I do like Debatable and For Your Amusement. I spend the majority of my days explaining why The Wire is the greatest TV show ever and clamouring for a Pop-Punk revival(c. 1994) whilst singing in my best Axl Rose-esque voice. Do not say professional wrestling is “fake” around me or, he’ll bore you with, what I like to call, “the risks they take”. Henrik Larsson is my hero.
