Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Coming to iOS

Apple device users rejoice. Those of you who have been crying out for a fix of classic beat em up action won’t have to wait much longer, as Capcom have revealed that their cult favourite, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, will be coming to the App Store on April 25th.

The game – which has been released on many platforms including; Arcade machine, Dreamcast and Xbox LIVE Arcade – boasts a massive roster of 56 characters taken from the worlds of Marvel Comics and Capcom video games, such as Wolverine, Ryu, Iron Man and Mega Man. The game sees the fighters battling in over-the-top tag-team fights, where super combos and finishersare the order of the day. You can even execute Team Hyper Combos, where all three members of your team work together to inflict massive damage on your opponents.

The game has long been popular with Capcom fans, and it achieved a cult status with beat em up fiends. Over the last few years it has seen somewhat of a renaissance, and the game has spawned two new sequels. Its frantic action and insane moves make the game quite different from many of its peers, and the huge rosters include a fighter to suit all tastes. How the controls will transfer to iOS touch-screen systems will remain to be seen however.
