Where Did Those Mass Effect 3 Space Copies End Up?
A week prior to the launch of Mass Effect 3, EA and BioWare decided it would be a good idea to strap a few copies of the game to weather balloons, let them loose from locations around the world and see where they ended up. Each package was fitted with a GPS tracker, so eager fans could track the balloons progress online, and see if the wind would blow a bit of Mass Effect goodness their way.
A few intrepid gamers went on missions Commander Shepherd himself would be proud of to reach the fallen copies of the game, and EA has today released a video that shows where some of the games ended up. The video features some impressive views of our big blue blob, showing that the balloons made it very high indeed. If you like what you see, you should probably watch this video, too.
