Akai Katana Coming to Xbox 360 in North America
Rising Star Games have just released a brand new teaser trailer for Akai Katana. Fans can get a glimpse of what they can expect when the side scrolling shoot ’em up hits stores shelves later this year.
The game developed by CAVE Interactive will be available exclusively on the Xbox 360. A remastered version of a Japanese arcade classic, it is perhaps surprising to learn this will be a retail title and not an Xbox LIVE Arcade release.
Set in a parallel world resembling Japan’s Taisho period. The tyrannical empire have discovered a powerful sword called the Blood Katana, and are carrying out human sacrifices in order to unleash its destructive power. It is only when the bloodshed turns toward the families of a small group of swordsmen, a rebel uprising begins.

No word on an exact release date for North America yet, UK gamers though can expect the game to hit April 27th.
