Activision Have Released Some Shots of Upcoming Battleship: the Video Game on Nintendo Wii

I’m sure you’ve heard about the boardgame Battleship being made into a movie with Rihanna, Liam Neeson and a few others. Also, I’m sure you’ve heard that the movie that’s adapted from a boardgame, is also getting a video game adaptation. Today, Activision have released some new shots of the Wii version of the game. The game will also be released on 360, PS3, DS and 3DS.

The game is developed by Magic Pockets and is obviously a turn based strategy style game…y’know, like the boardgame. In the game, players are in command of a naval fleet with submarines, patrol boats and more at their disposal. You’ll need all of that to face off against the alien invasion. Different characters in the game will have unique abilities and the title is said to have some unlockable content and custom modes too.

I do however think the title; Battleship: The Video Game of a Movie of a Boardgame would have been better.

Battleship: The Video Game is set for release in April on Wii, DS, 3DS. The game is also coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
