Nintendo Start The Kid Icarus Hype Machine With Launch of New Website
It seems like we’ve been waiting an eternity to finally get our grubby little mitts on the 3DS exclusive Kid Icarus: Uprising (GodisaGeek got its first look at the game back in July 2011), and the wait is nearly over as the big N launches a new website for the game, due out march 23rd in Europe.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising, players take control of Pit, a lot of gamers will know Pit solely from Super Smash Bros, seeing as this is the first Kid Icarus game since 1991’s Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters for the Game Boy. Players must protect the land from the evil Medusa. Kid Icarus: Uprising is essentially a shooter, but with its awesome looking enemies, landscapes and boss battles it looks to offer more than your average on the rails shooter.
The game comes boxed with a unique 3DS stand, designed to make the game more comfortable to play. While this seems like a generous offering from Nintendo (heck, we all like free loot, right?), I can’t see many people lugging a special table top stand around with them on their travels. Players who want to avoid chronic left hand cramp will be pleased to know that the game also supports the circle pad pro add on, which is available now.
