Aliens: Colonial Marines Box Art Features Xenomorphs
For those of you who are wondering just what on earth a ‘xenomorph’ is, I can tell you that it is the technical name for the aliens that feature in the legendary film series, and the soon to be released title from Gearbox Software.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will see players take on the role of a United States Colonial Marine (as Apone aptly put’s it, “A day in the Marines is like a day on a farm!”) as they investigate the abandonded U.S.S Sulaco before eventually making their way down to the planet where most of the second film is set. Judging by some of the trailers that have been released so far, the game seems to have captured the atmosphere of the film perfectly, right down to the sound of the infamous pulse rifles.
Whilst the title doesn’t have a firm release date beyond a vauge Spring 2012 as of yet, SEGA have today released the box art for the game, which you can see below. In case you’re confused, the big snarling alien with the shiny teeth is the aforementioned xenomorph. Hopefully SEGA will have news on a release date for us sooner rather than later.
