Shank 2 is Coming out on 8th February
2D side-scroller and Samurai Jack lookalike, Shank’s sequel is coming to PC, 360 and PS3 on 8th February. The game will cost 800 Microsoft Points or £7.99/€9.99. You take control of the original game’s protagonist once more, Shank, as you tear baddies up with handguns, grenades, chainsaws and plenty new weapons that the developer, Klei, are bringing to the table. The AI is also meant to be more refined and the controls more precise.
For your playing pleasure, Klei are also introducing the new Survival Mode. In Survival mode, you can play with one of your real friends locally, or internet friends online and take on tons of enemies in an “arcade-style brawl”. Whether this is a story based co-op mode or not hasn’t been determined.
One of Shank’s big selling points has, and is, its graphics. Shank looked beautiful and fans of the first game will be happy that Jeff Agala, the animator from the original, is back for Shank 2. It’ll be interesting to see how this one turns out. If the gameplay can match the visuals, this should be a definite play.
