Mad Catz Have the Perfect Accompaniment For Soul Calibur V
Our friends at Mad Catz have definitely been keeping busy over the years, and it seems that 2012 is going to be as big of a year for them as any other. In an exciting collaboration with Namco Bandai, Mad Catz have announced a new way for players to experience the upcoming Soul Calibur V.
Introducing the Mad Catz Soul Calibur V Soul Edition Arcade Fight Stick (try saying that seventy billion times fast when standing naked out in the Antarctic). This fight-stick features the Namco Noir button and stick layout along with custom artwork. Unsurprisingly, the stick will be compatible with both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Speaking about the collaboration, Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz had this to say. “We are pleased to be working with Namco Bandai Games and supporting the launch of SOULCALIBUR V with our portfolio of fighting game controllers. As market leader in the FightStick sector, it is important we partner with the leading fighting game franchises and continue our long-term strategy of supporting the product category and community by delivering specialty products for the passionate consumer.”
Excitingly, the fight stick will be accessible for attendees of CES to try this week, so if you’re there, keep your eyes peeled. As for a release date, the Fight Stick will conveniently co-incide with the launch of the game on February 3rd, providing its custom artwork isn’t too risqué for public consumption, of course.
