Konami Announces Release Date for Award Winning Puddle
Konami have announced a release date for their XBLA and PSN title, Puddle. The games comes to the 360 and PS3 on 25th January. The screenshots below give a little insight as to how the game looks and, I must saw, it looks pretty cool. The levels are called courses and through each course, you – “you”, being a puddle of various different liquids – must dodge electric currents, beams of heat and other dangerous obstacles. The puddles in the game all react differently to certain situations. There are numerous liquids like, water, rocket fuel and radioactive fluid.
What was originally a student project that has also won awards at the Independant Gaming Festival at GDC in 2010, is now getting a full release. This seems like a really intriguing puzzle game. The fact that there are different environments that will play into how your puddle reacts is interesting, as well as the different types of liquids. For those who feel inclined, you can also use your Move controller or the SixAxis on the PlayStation 3 version. Who said innovation was dead, huh?
