Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai Expansion Announced by SEGA
Total War fanatics, contain your excitement – publishers SEGA have unveiled screenshots and trailers of a new expansion pack for Shogun 2, Fall of the Samurai.
To be released in March 2012, the standalone expansion will be set in 1863, against the backdrop of rapid imperial expansion the world over. This means the inclusion of more gun-powder-based factions like those in the Empire and Napoleon games in the Total War series.
There will be 39 new land units including gatling guns and British Royal Marines, alongside ten new types of ship with ironclads and torpedo boats. New coastal barriers in addition mean that Fall of the Samurai could push the boundaries of the Total War series.
